Bunco Fundraiser

Our Bunco fundraiser that was held on June 3rd was a huge success! Everyone had a blast. Many of us had never played before, but by the end of the night we were Bunco experts :). We had so many wonderful donations from various people and businesses that we were able to give away some great doorprizes and have a silent auction. The addition of the silent auction allowed us to raise more money than we would have otherwise. What a blessing! A HUGE thank you to everyone who donated items for the baskets and the silent auction!

Fun! Fun! Fun!

The money and baskets donations that we took in are already being put to good use. Ryan and I have personally delived two baskets to OU Children's already and a dozen more are being distributed this month and next by the Child Life Staff at OU Children's. We will continue to collect donations for the baskets and distribute them to children and parents in the hospital, as the need arises, for the rest of the year!

I also want to thank everyone who help with set up/clean up, decorating, food, flowers, and everyone who came just to have fun and play Bunco. The night was a success because of YOU! It was such a blessing to see so many people gathered to support a cause that the HL staff and members are so passionate about. THANK YOU!

We couldn't be more pleased at the response we are getting as we prepare for our first Hope Link Bunco Fundraiser on June 3rd. We have been overwhelmed by the generosity people are showing and the outpouring of support. We have already recieved tons of donated items to help fill our care baskets! We are excited to see that groups and businesses are using this as an opportunity to give back to their community and support these precious moms and their children. For those who really want to have a more "hands on" role in the Care Basket Project, donating items for the baskets it a great way to do that. A full list of the items that we need for the baskets can be found on our website. Girls Night Out

Instead of our usual meeting place, Ryan and I decided to change it up a little in January. We treated the ladies to dinner at Cafe 501 in Edmond. So, in addition to wonderful friends and conversation, we also enjoyed some wonderful food! Our night out coincided with subzero temps in the OKC. This actually worked to our advantage because the restaurant was virtually deserted. We had the place to ourselves and spent nearly two hours visiting and eating. Two of our little ones also joined us for dinner.

As a late Christmas gift, we gave the ladies one of my favorite reads from last year "When God Weeps" by Joni Erickson Tada. This is a must read for anyone who has experienced tragedy and heartache. We missed all those who couldn't join us. It is so encouraging to spend time with such an amazing group of women and children! Ryan and I are really looking forward to this year and the opportunity to serve and encourage!

Hope Link Blog!

Hope Link in now blogging! We have been working hard to make some much needed changes in our organization. One of the things we want to focus on is letting everyone know what is going on at Hope Link. It is important to us that you stay connected even if you can't attend the monthly meetings! We know how difficult it can be to get away in your extraordinary circumstances but we still want to encourage you. We also have families in other regions of the state who can't make it to meetings, but would like to participate. Our desire is to create an online community where we can all stay connected and encouraged no matter where we are! You can join us on Facebook too!

Our hope is that no matter where you are in your journey you can come to Hope Link and be encouraged and encourage others!
